Plainfield Police Host Explorer Program Open House
Event is Sept. 11 at the Plainfield law enforcement center.
The Plainfield Police Department Explorer Post #127 will host an open house from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 11 at the Plainfield Law Enforcement Center, 14300 S. Coil Plus Dr., Plainfield.
The purpose of the event is to highlight skills learned by the Plainfield Explorers throughout the year. The open house will consist of:
- Demonstrations by the Plainfield Lawn Enforcement Explorers focusing on skills learned during their first year as a post.
- Plainfield police K-9 exhibition
- Plainfield Fire Protection District Demonstrations
- A flag ceremony by the Plainfield Honor Guard
- Police department tours
- Police, fire, EMS and EMS vehicle displays
Explorers will also offer an all-you-care-to-eat hot dog dinner. The cost of the dinner is $5; children under age 5 eat for free.
