Plainfield Police, Fire Department Host National Night Out

Anti-crime, anti-drug event will coincide with Aug. 7 Cruise Night.

Community members are invited to Plainfield’s National Night Out, an anti-crime and anti-drug effort aimed at providing a greater sense of awareness to area residents through neighborhood spirit and police/community partnerships.

The event is hoped by the Plainfield Police Department and Plainfield Fire Protection District.

Plainfield’s National Night Out is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at the former Administration Building, 15025 S. Des Plaines St. The event includes games, raffles and crafts and will be held in conjunction with MainStreet Plainfield’s weekly .
