Plainfield Car Break-in Suspects Arrested

The suspects have been charged with burglary to a motor vehicle and are being held in Will County Jail pending a bond hearing.

Three Plainfield residents have been arrested in connection with a car burglary that took place early Saturday morning in the 14100 block of Hunt Club Drive.

Gregory Munoz, 20, 1401 Lasser Drive; Sean Quintos, 20, 1004 Northside Drive; and Shelby Simpson, 17, 12733 Meadow Lane, were charged with burglary to a motor vehicle. All three are being held in the Will County Adult Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.

were alerted to a burglary in progress about 3:35 a.m. Saturday and were able to apprehend the three suspects in the vicinity, Detective Sgt. Kevin McQuaid said Monday. The three admitted their role in the incident and led police to a bag of jackets they had taken from the vehicle and stashed elsewhere, McQuaid said.

Although they've not been charged, police believe they may also have been involved in a vehicle burglary that took place on Mueller Circle early Friday morning, McQuaid said. In that case, a GPS was taken, he said.
