Police: Plainfield Man Charged After Letting 4-Year-Old Sit in His Lap on Ride Home from Bar

Arrests reported by Plainfield police, other agencies, Nov. 27-Dec. 5.

Brian J. Bixenman, 24, of the 24000 block of Chicago Street, Plainfield, was arrested by Will County Sheriff's Police and booked into the county jail on charges of burglary, police said. Bond information was not immediately avaialable Thursday. Bixenman is due in court Jan. 7, 2013.

Michael Morency, 32, of the 24000 block of Ottawa, Plainfield, was arrested by Plainfield police after allegedly leaving the Tap House Grill, 24402 W. Lockport St., and failing to place his 4-year-old daughter in a child safety seat during the ride home. Sgt. Mike Fisher said police responded to a call around 12:59 a.m. reporting an intoxicated man leaving the bar with a small child. According to Fisher, police stopped the car carrying Morency and his young daughter as it was pulling up at a house near Fox River and Ottawa streets. Although Morency wasn't driving, Fisher said, he was sitting in the passenger seat with his 4-year-old daughter on his lap. "He was highly intoxicated [and] uncooperative," Fisher said. The child was turned over to her mother, and Morency was arrested on charges of reckless conduct, endangering the life and health of a child and child safety seat violation, police said.

Nov. 27

David Fields, 32, of the 1700 block of Winterfield Drive, Aurora, was arrested by Plainfield police at 4:06 p.m. at Lockport Street and Route 59 and charge dwith driving on a cancelled, suspended or revoked registration, police said. Bond amount was $1,500.

Dhwani Rawal, 25, of the 1600 block of Fiddyment, Romeoville, was arrested by Plainfield police at 10:48 a.m. at Presidential Avenue and Wallin Drive and charged with driving on a cancelled, suspended or revoked registration and suspended/revoked license, police said. Bond amount was $2,000.

Brandon Johnson, 30, of the 24000 block of George Washington Drive, Plainfield, was arrested by Plainfield police at 12:25 a.m. at Freedom Way and Meadow Lane and charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license, police said. Bond amount was $1,500.
