Police Blotter: Burglarized Barber Shop, DUI Arrest

May 21

DUI arrest

Ryan Christopher Madland, 25, of the 15800 block of South Frederick, Plainfield, was taken into custody by Will County Sheriff's officers on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol, police said.

Warrant arrest

Marcus S. Taggart, 41, of the 13200 block of Blackstone, Plainfield, was taken into custody by Will County Sheriff's police on a warrant for failure to appear in court on misdemeanor charges, police said.

May 16

Marijuana charges

Alejandro Yebra, 35, of the 3200 block of West 49th Street, Cicero, was arrested by Plainfield police at 9:46 a.m. at Naperville Road and Route 59 and charged with possession of 30 grams or less of cannabis and possession of drug equipment, according to police.

May 15

Suspended license charge

Caitlin Rock, 22, of the 22000 block of West Fox Trail Lane, Plainfield, was arrested by  at 3:36 p.m. at Joliet Road and Union Street and charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license, police said. 

May 14 

Car burglary

Niko Roark, 18, of the 2400 block of Regan Road, Joliet, was arrested by Will County Sheriff's Police at Caton Farm and Von Esch and charged with possession of stolen property and burglary to a motor vehicle.

May 11

Burglarized barber shop

Will County Sheriff's police reported a burglary at barber shop, 16149 S. Lincoln Highway. According to police reports, an unknown person or people broke into the business and stole a PlayStation 3 gaming unit, three video games and a small red pocket knife. The incident remains under investigation, police said.
