Man accused of marijuana possession
Leonard Bannister, 28, of the 1200 block of Second Avenue, Aurora, was arrested by at 12:46 a.m. at Main Street and Penn Road and charged with possession of 30 grams or less of cannabis, police said.

Battery, disorderly conduct

Nasser Abufarha, 18, of the 2000 block of Fairfield was arrested at 7:26 p.m. in the 14200 block of Route 30 and charged with battery and disorderly conduct, police said.
Warrant arrest
Sebastian Frank, 19, of the 1000 block of Hudson Drive, Joliet, was also arrested at 7:26 p.m. in the 14200 block of Route 30 on an in-state warrant and charge of obstructing justice, according to police.
July 26
Battery charge
Clinton Kuchta, 29, of the 24000 block of Vermette Road was arrested at his home at 2:18 p.m. and charged with battery, according to police.
Shoplifting arrest
Anthony Guedes, 19, of the 6000 block of Melvina, Chicago, was arrested at 3:53 p.m. at Walmart, 12690 S. Route 59, and charged with retail theft, police said.
