Thank god they got that cannabis off the streets. I feel safer already.

If you notice, cannabis arrests are made via traffic stops. I don't hear any of the stoners complain when someone is cited for open alcohol, or when heroin is found. So, when someone is searched and weed shows up instead of some other contraband, I supposed the police are supposed to summarily ignore it so some loser on the patch doesn't complain? Screwing with mind-altering substances in conjunction with the operation of heavy machinery is never a good idea. Plus, Plainfield has been very lenient with weed anyway. Most people are given tickets for it and sent on their way. Stoners need to chill man! CHILL!!!

Not only did you call me a loser and a stoner, but you assumed that this arrest was made in a traffic stop even though there was zero mention of that. Then you compared cannabis to heroin and open alcohol. Pot and heroin could not be any more different, and for this crime to be compared to open container laws, the pot would have to be in a joint and lit. Then, after all this nonsense, you proceed to say "CHILL!!!". Who needs to chill? The guy who wrote a one line criticism of this country's pot laws or the guy who wrote an insulting, assumptive response complete with caps-lock and exclamation points.

I WAS a stoner, and nobody gets their door kicked in for hitters...and it's more difficult for cops to stop people out walking around and searching them. Cars are easy to stop and search. Put that in my pipe in and smoke it, Joey.
