Assault arrest
Nicholas Blatchford, 24, of the 24000 block of Merlot Lane, Plainfield, was arrested by at 5:35 p.m. at his home and charged with assault, police said.

Theft, trespassing charges

Erin Johnson, 18, of the 16000 block of Plainsman Circle, Plainfield, was arrested at 5:52 a.m. in the 23000 block of Cahills Way and charged with theft under $500, criminal trespass to real property and resisting/obstructing a police officer, according to police.
July 24
Reckless driving
Rickey Haas, 41, of the 400 block of Fenton, Romeoville, was arrested at 8:19 p.m. at Illinois and Lockport streets and charged with reckless driving, police said.
