Police Blotter: Theft of Lost Property, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol

Aug. 8

Theft of lost property

Mary Bartusiak, 42, of the 16000 block of Edgewood Drive, Plainfield, was arrested by at 8:07 p.m. in the 24000 block of Lockport Street and charged with theft of lost property, police said.

Aug. 20

Warrant arrest

Deshawn Mech, 19, of the 400 block of Glen Avenue, Romeoville, was arrested by Plainfield police at 12:11 p.m. at Joliet Road and Union and booked on an in-state warrant, police said.

No license arrest

Eduardo Coazozon-Mortera, 18, of the 500 block of Irving, Joliet, was arrested by Plainfield police at 4:40 p.m. at Bartlett Avenue and Lockport Street and charged with driving without a valid license, police said.

Aug. 21

No license

Melanie Eddy, 44, of the 300 block of State Street, Lockport, was arrested by Plainfield police at 1:52 p.m. at 135th Street and Route 59 and charged with driving without a valid license, police said.

Aug. 24

Illegal transportation of alcohol

Zelle Taylor, 41, of the 1500 block of Cornflower Drive, Joliet, was arrested by Plainfield police at 7:18 a.m. at 143rd Street and Van Dyke Road and charged with driving on a suspended or revoked license and illegal transportation of alcohol, police said.

Aug. 26 

DUI charge

Ian E. Dilworth, 35, of the 14500 block of Independence Drive, Plainfield, was arrested by Hinsdale police and charged with DUI after police said they observed him to be under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop for improper lane use and speeding near the intersection of 55th Street and Taft Road at 2:19 a.m., and failed an ensuing breath test. Dilworth was charged with two counts of DUI as well as improper lane use and speeding. He was released to appear in court.
