Plainfield police and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agents seized more than $500,000 worth of marijuana and ecstasy during a search of a Plainfield home Tuesday, police said in a press release.
Quy Doan, 30, of the 200 block of Zinnia, Romeoville, was arrested in connection to the grow operation and is being held at the Will County Adult Detention Center, police said.
According to jail records, Doan was booked on five felony charges: manufacture/delivery of 50-200 grams of schedule I and II substances, producing 50-200 cannabis plants, manufacture/delivery of more than 500 grams of cannabis, possession of 2,000-5,000 grams of cannabis and possession of a controlled substance. He is due in court Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, agents and officers discovered a “huge indoor cultivation of marijuana” while executing a search warrant at 12914 Tipperary Lane. More than 100 ecstasy pills, 92 cannabis plans and “numerous pounds” of loose cannabis were found during the search. The street value of the drugs is more than $500,000, police said.

And for the commenters who think grow houses in residentail neighborhoods are OK because drugs should be legal- I find it hard to believe it is still Ok if you have kids and it's YOUR neighbor.
