Principal Holds Art Sale to Help Plainfield Charities

The sale is part of a April 20 at which Plainfield Academy Principal Tod Schnowske's new mural will be unveiled at the Plainfield Police Station.

A 96-square-foot mural painted by Tod Schnowske will be unveiled at a special event being held from 3:30 to 7 p.m. April 20 at the .

The unveiling will be accompanied by a sale of 35 new works by Schnowske, with all of the proceeds going to Plainfield charities. Both will be held in the court room foyer of the police station, 14300 S. Coil Plus Drive, Plainfield.

All proceeds from sales of Schnowske’s work will be donated to a charity chosen by the buyer, from a designated list of charities:

  • The Kiwanis Club of Plainfield’s Scholarship Fund
  • The Plainfield Rotary Scholarship Fund
  • The Plainfield Lions Club Scholarship Fund
  • The Plainfield Art League
  • The Plainfield Police Department’s “Shop With a Cop” program
  • The Plainfield Police Department DARE program
  • The Plainfield Foundation for Excellence
  • The C.W. Avery YMCA
  • The Plainfield Public Library

“I like to use my art as a catalyst to generate recognition and support for community service organizations,” Schnowske said in a release on the event.
