Century Circle was closed shortly before noon on Tuesday.

Nicor crews were on the scene shortly after noon Tuesday after a construction crew hit a 2-inch gas line near Century Circle and Millenium Parkway.

“Nobody is in any danger,” he said, adding emergency crews were keeping a close watch on the gas leak. “The levels are all good — we’re just monitoring it right now.”
