The Stateville Correctional Center nurse charged with fondling a prisoner's penis and smuggling him a cell phone was taken into custody Wednesday morning.

Holly Logan, 47, of 13952 Chicago-Bloomington Trail in Homer Glen was booked into the Will County jail about 10 a.m. She was freed on a $10,000 bond within four hours.

Logan faces charges of custodial sexual misconduct and bringing contraband into a penal institution. She was employed as a nurse by Wexford Health Sources at the time of her alleged crimes, said Thomas Shaer, a spokesman for the Illinois Department of Corrections, and was working in Stateville as a contract employee. Calls to Wexford were referred to Risk Management Manager Joe Ebbitt. Ebbitt failed to respond to requests for comment.

Logan faces up to 15 years in prison if she is found guilty.
