Two Hurt in I-55 Crash Near Plainfield

A man and woman were in good condition following the Friday night crash, officials said.

Two people were taken to area hospitals following a single-vehicle crash on northbound I-55 Friday night, according to Plainfield Deputy Fire Chief Jon Stratton.

Plainfield and Troy fire departments responded to the rollover crash near the Route 30 exit around 8:30 p.m., Stratton said. The two occupants of the vehicle, a Mitsubishi Eclipse, were able to get out of the vehicle on their own, and were listed in good condition, according to Stratton.

The Route 30 exit ramp was briefly closed following the crash, he said.
