Three Will County Men Died Shoveling Snow This Weekend, Coroner Says
Deaths related to snow shoveling occurred in Joliet and Bolingbrook, Coroner Pat O'Neil said.
Three men -- two from Joliet and one from Bolingbrook -- died over the weekend while shoveling snow, but there have been no cases of hypothermia, Will County Coroner Pat O'Neil said Monday.
The Joliet men, ages 62 and 63, were found unresponsive at their homes on Sunday, O'Neil said. The Bolingbrook man, age 57, died Saturday at Adventist Hospital, he said.
It's believed all three died from heart attacks or cardiac-related conditions, O'Neil said.
The only hypothermia-related death in Will County in recent months occurred in mid-December when a Joliet man was discovered frozen to death in his back yard. It's believed he either fell or suffered a medical condition that caused him to fall, reports said.
