A better question is how come there are plates on the car when you need to show proof of insurance to renew the plates? I have asked this question many times & the answer has to be in Springfield. Before you can renew your plates you have to write in your insurance company, policy number & expiration date. Someone in Springfield is not doing their job like usual.

Driving without insurance must not be tolerated any longer in Illinois! Our idiots in our legislature just approved allowing ILLEGAL Aliens to have licenses! It is cheaper in Illinois to drive without insurance - as most judges do not impose the maximum $500 dollar fine on those who drive without it! Insurance costs are more then the fine - per year - so do the math!

John, I just love the bleeding hearts who said that now that the illegals can get a driver's license they will now be able to get insurance. I don't know what those people are smoking but I couldn't help but laugh. Yet here I am paying for the uninsured driver, yet it's the law in Illinois to have insurance. Ironic, isn't it?

what is really stupid is the brain dead politicians in Illinois and the rest of the country just don't understand what illegal means... let them come to the front door of the dmv and have a border patrol bus at the back door, problem solved.....
