Oct. 27: A 36-year-old Bolingbrook man has been charged with driving under the influence after police said his car slammed through the side wall of a Bolingbrook home and stopped inside the garage. Michael D. Karwoske, 36, was arrested at 3:24 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage, driving too fast for conditions and operating an uninsured motor vehicle, according to Bolingbrook police. The incident took place at 580 Eric Way. When police arrived, they found Karwoske was standing outside of 580 Eric Way, his 2003 gray Chrysler van inside the home.
Police said a preliminary investigation indicated Karwoske was traveling north on Thomas Road when he struck a parked car on the 500 block of Thomas. Upon impact, the parked car rolled down the street and ended up in a driveway of a residence on the 100 block of Norman. The driver continued to travel north, went across the lawn and into the garage at 580 Eric Way.
The driver was checked by Bolingbrook Fire Department Medics and was taken to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital for evaluation.
Oct. 19: Toby Crookham, 35, 229 Bowie Ct., was arrested at 1:01 a.m. and charged with DUI and driving without lights following a traffic stop at Boughton Road and Delaware Drive, police said.
Oct. 27: Wayne K. Biros, 27, 539 W. Cermak, Braidwood, arrested by theRomeoville Police Department and booked into the Will County jail on charges of driving under the influence of drugs, possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Oct. 27: Donald J. Poppleton, 27, 301 1/2 Eldora Ave., Weeping Water, Neb., arrested by the Romeoville Police Department and booked into the Will County jail on charges of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, driving while license suspended, possession of 15 or more grams of heroin, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and no insurance.
Nov. 2: Ancelmo E. Lopez, 17, 1404 Belleview, Rockdale, arrested by the Joliet Police Department and booked into the Will County jail on Nov. 2 on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content over .08, no insurance, no driver's license, cancelled driver's license, failure to reduce speed and disregarding a stop sign.
Nov. 1: Ryan J. Hansen, 27, 720 Raub, Joliet, arrested by the Will County Sheriff's Office and booked into the Will County jail on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content over .08 and driving one to 10 miles above the limit.
