Woman Left Kids in Car in -10 Weather: Cops

The incident allegedly happened at the Caton Farm Road Walgreens.

Joliet police are looking for a woman who left three children in a car without coats in -10-degree weather.

Police put out an alert asking for information on the woman, who reportedly left three small kids in the vehicle while shopping at Walgreens, 4288 Caton Farm Rd., which has a Plainfield address.

"The children were said to be without coats and the vehicle was not running," according to Joliet police. "When a concerned citizen confronted the suspect about the children left in the vehicle, she began to scream at this citizen and cause a disturbance inside the store."

Police said the women is known to "frequent the area" in a white, four-door vehicle with Texas license plates.

The woman is described as a white female in her 30s, about 5-foot-y and skinny. She may live on the far west side of Joliet, police said.
