Change of Venue for Plainfield Park District Budget Meeting

The July 24 meeting will take place at the Plainfield Police Department.

The Plainfield Park District Board of Commissioners is expected to vote on whether to adopt a draft budget at its Wednesday, July 24 meeting, and an anticipated crowd has prompted the board to move the meeting from the Recreation/Administration Center to a larger venue.

The meeting will now take place at 6 p.m. July 24 at the Plainfield Police Department's multi-purpose room, 14300 S. Coil Plus Dr.

The draft budget is on public display and is posted on the park district website. Click here to view the draft budget.

The budget includes $800,000 in proposed cuts, coming largely from the district's contingency fund, which is set aside to meet seasonal shortfalls and to cover unanticipated expenses.
