Conservation Group Topic of Green Lecture

Conservation Plainfield is a group dedicated to environmental issues in the village, and the program will focus on ways the public can get involved.

The Green Village Lecture Series kicks off its fifth year Jan. 9 with a program on the Conservation Plainfield group and ways the community can get involved.

The program starts at 7 p.m. at the , 15025 S. Illinois St. 

Conservation Plainfield hosts an annual environmental expo and the DuPage River Sweep.  The organization has recently grown to include week-long, spring and fall community clean-up initiatives.

The lecture series, which focuses on environmental issues, is held every second Monday of the month. It's sponsored by the village of Plainfield and the Plainfield Public Library.
