Public Hearing on Downtown Historic District Set

A public hearing on the concept of creating a downtown historic district will be held by the Historic Plan Commission at 7 p.m. in the community meeting room in Plainfield Village Hall.

The meeting is to answer questions about the district proposal and clear up misconceptions, commission chairman Michael Bortel said.

A previous attempt to win approval for a district was rejected by the Plainfield Village Board last year.
