'Farmageddon' Documentary to be Shown at Library

Registration requested to attend the Nov. 14 screening, which is sponsored by the library, village and Conservation Plainfield.

The documentary Farmageddon: The Unseen War on American Family Farms, which delves into such topics as why locally grown food is expensive and hard to find, will be shown at 7 p.m. Nov. 14 at the .

The screening is part of the monthly Green Village Lecture Series, sponsored by the library, the and Conservation Plainfield.

The movie tells the story of small family farms that were providing safe, healthy foods to their communities and were forced to stop – sometimes through violent action by government regulators. It attempts to seek answers fro the government's position on the issue.
