Interested in transportation improvements in Plainfield? Would you like to make sure that your ideas are included in the village’s future plans? If so, plan to attend the Village’s meeting regarding the Transportation Plan Update on Wednesday, March 20, from 6-8 pm, at the Village Hall, 24401 W. Lockport Street.  A brief presentation will be made at 7 pm.

During the meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to review the draft Transportation Plan which includes prioritized improvements for all modes of transportation. Exhibits will also showcase both the vehicular and pedestrian improvements included in the plan.  After reviewing the proposed plan, residents can provide their feedback and comments.

This project is funded by a $120,000 grant awarded to the Village by the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP). The updated plan will incorporate previous plans and studies, including the soon-to-be updated Comprehensive Plan and a transit-oriented development (TOD) study.
