Murphy Makes Finalist Cut for Michigan Post

A final decision on who will be the new city manager for East Lansing, Mich., is expected by month's end, according to a story in The State News.

Village Administrator Brian Murphy is one of six finalists for the city manager job in East Lansing, Mich., according to an article in The (East Lansing) State News.

The East Lansing City Council narrowed the list from nine semifinalists on Wednesday night, and will ask each finalist to attend a community reception on Jan. 25 and to participate in round-robin interviews with city staff on Jan. 26, the story said. The decision is expected to be made by the end of January.

Murphy, a Michigan native, has been Plainfield village administrator since 2009.
