Garbage Pickup on Schedule in Plainfield: Village [UPDATE]

Early Monday morning, Village of Plainfield Community Relations Director Amy De Boni said garbage and recycling pickup for residents with Monday collection is happening.

She asked residents for patience in the extreme cold as refuse collectors make their rounds.

"It’s slow going, so we are asking residents to be patient," De Boni said.

As of late Sunday, there no word yet on the status of garbage pickup.

Waste Management is referring customers to the Illinois weather alert website for updates.

The Village of Plainfield Public Works Department also noted that there was no new information related to garbage/recycling pickup, but urged residents to follow the department on Facebook and Twitter for updates.
