Plainfield Announces Holiday Garbage Pickup Schedule
Special schedule for Memorial Day, Fourth of July and more.
The Village of Plainfield is reminding residents that Waste Management's garbage and recycling pickup schedule will be delayed due to Memorial Day and other upcoming holidays.
Refuse collection schedules will be delayed for the following holidays:
- Memorial Day (Monday, May 26) – Pickup will be delayed by one day all week.
- Labor Day (Monday, September 1) – Pickup will be delayed by one day all week.
- Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 27) – Pickup will be delayed by one day for residents with Thursday collection only.
- Christmas Day (Thursday, December 25) – Pickup will be delayed by one day for residents with Thursday collection only.
Village Hall, 24401 W. Lockport St., will be closed on Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve/Christmas Day.
