Village trustees on Monday approved the seventh annual Plainfield Farmers Market, set to start Saturday, June 14, at the southwest corner of Route 59 and Lockport Street.

The market will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays through Sept. 27.

Trustee Bill Lamb said this could be the last year the market stays at its current site.

"It may be at the riverfront next year," he said, calling the event " a real asset" to Plainfield.

I'm glad, but the market needs more fresh food vendors and less jewelry and pampered chef ect.

I agree with Sonja. I would love to see more fruit and vegetables and less flea market crap!

I agree. This is a Farmers market not a flea market. We expect fruits, vegetables. Not avon and Tupperware.

Instead of complaining about what the Farmer's Market lacks why dont you offer to volunteer your time and find quality vendors?
