Plainfield Library to Seek HVAC Project bids

The Plainfield Public Library District invites qualified contractors to bid on its HVAC replacement project. Specifications and bid package documents are available for purchase at:

A pre-bid meeting will take place at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8 at the Plainfield Public Library District, 15025 S. Illinois St. Sealed bids are due to the library’s business office by 3 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 15.

A public bid opening will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15 at the library. Contract award will be an action item on the Library Board of Trustees agenda at their regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct.17.

The project includes replacement of the four rooftop units and HVAC control system, duct work improvements and repair, installation of return air system, and air balancing.

Clarification: On Wednesday, the library district clarified that the bid documents posted yesterday contained incorrect times for the pre-bid meeting and the time sealed bids are due. Times listed on the press release are correct. Corrected bid documents will be posted later today
