Plainfield Park District Changes Meeting Location
The meeting is Tuesday night in Plainfield.
Although its meetings are scheduled to take place at the Plainfield Township building, this week's Plainfield Park District Board of Commissioners meeting will be at the Heritage Professional Center, 24023 W. Lockport St.
The meeting is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday.
According to the agenda, the board will get a six-month budget review from the finance department.
The board will also vote on a contract with Melrose Pyrotechnics for fireworks at the 2014 Patriotic Picnic this July, along with changes to the park district board manual.
Commissioners will also discuss the park district's future with Hitchcock Design Group.
Other discussion items include the creation of an independent ethics commission and a public advisory committee, and implementing a "transparency checklist."
