Plainfield Park District: New Meeting Schedule, Location in 2014

Meetings are now the first Tuesday of the month at a new venue.

For the second time in less than six months, the location of the Plainfield Park District board meetings is changing.

The monthly meetings will also be switched to the first Tuesday of the month after previously being held the second Wednesday. The change came despite the protest of commissioner Mary Kay Ludemann, who at the November meeting noted that she works Tuesday evenings. Ludemann is a fire inspector for the Plainfield Fire Protection District.

In August, the board accommodated an increasing number of attendees by changing the meeting location from the park district recreation/administration center on Ottawa Street to the Heritage Professional Center, 24023 W. Lockport St.

But starting this week, meetings will move again, this time to the Plainfield Township Administration Building, 22525 W. Lockport St.

The 2014 meetings are scheduled for 6 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month:
  • Jan. 7
  • Feb. 4
  • March 4
  • April 1
  • May 6
  • June 3
  • July 1
  • Aug. 5
  • Sept. 2
  • Oct. 7
  • Nov. 4
  • Dec. 2
The agenda for Tuesday's meeting is currently available on the park district website.
