Spring Cleanup Week Starts April 9

It's the one week a year residents can leave large bulk items at the curb and have them hauled away for free; landscape waste pickup resumes April 2.

It may feel like summer these days, but we haven't even crossed into spring yet, the time of year when every young (and old) person's fancy turns to thoughts of ... spring cleaning.

Landscape waste can be left for pickup starting the first week of April and 's annual Spring Cleanup week starts April 9.

During that week, residents can place househouse refuse, bulk items (chairs, mattresses, couches, etc.) and white goods (refrigerators, washers, dryers and water heaters) at the curb and have Waste Management remove them for free removal.

An added plus is large electronic goods, including televisions, computers, printers, and monitors, can also be left for pickup during Spring Cleanup Week.

The items you cannot leave are hazardous waste (paints, oils and solvents), tires, construction and demolition materials, concrete, rock, dirt, engines or large automotive parts, and any oversized items that cannot be placed in a compactor type truck.
