Transportation Plan Public Meeting is Tuesday

Village staff will be at Cruise Night from 5 to 8 p.m.

Residents can sound off on plans to update the village's during an informal public meeting during MainStreet Plainfield's Cruise Night.

Village staff members will be available from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the corner of Lockport and DesPlaines streets to discuss the study and answer questions.

The study is funded by a $120,000 Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) grant.

“The goals of the Comprehensive Transportation Plan are to create a blueprint to maintain and improve the quality of the existing Village transportation system, reduce auto trips, increase bicycle trips, improve the walkability of the community, and enhance and expand the existing transit service of the village,” according to a press release issued by the village.
