Village Board OKs Teardown for New Houses

A special permit has been granted that would allow three houses to be taken down so that four new houses can be built on Ottawa Street.

A special use permit that will allow a Plainfield resident to demolish three homes in the 23000 block of Ottawa Street, near downtown, and resubdivide the property into four lots for new homes has been approved by the .

The village attorney was directed to draft an ordinance for the development requested by Debra Olsen, according to a story published by the Joliet Herald News.
