Waste Management Will Begin Picking Up Yard Waste the Week of March 26

Pickup is scheduled one week earlier due to unseasonably warm weather.

The Village of Plainfield and Waste Management have announced that yard waste pickup, which had previously been scheduled to begin on April 1, will now begin the week of March 26 on residents’ regular garbage days.

According to Waste Management, grass clippings and leaves must be placed in kraft yard waste bags or in a 96-gallon yard waste cart, which is available for rental or purchase from the company by calling 800-796-9696.

Branches and tree limbs must be tied in bundles no longer than four feet and no heavier than 50 pounds. The diameter of the branches should not exceed three inches. Waste Management will not collect unbundled brush.
