Romeoville Christian Boys Split in Final Two Games of Tournament

On Saturday, the Romeoville Christian Kingsmen played 2 games in the final day of the Patriot Winter Classic. The Kingsmen were matched up against New Jerusalem, a team from Chicago. The Kingsmen struggled to get anything going on either end of the floor, which resulted in a very rough 2nd round game for the Kingsmen, which dropped their second straight by a score of 40-54.

In the third and final game for the Kingsmen, they once again played the Charter School of the Dunes from Gary, IN. Once again the Kingsmen started off slow by giving up a several offensive rebounds and turning the ball over. The Kingsmen would need to really tighten up both of those aspects if they wanted to come back and win the game. They did just that. The final score was 56-53 with the Kingsmen coming out on top. Jake Janson led all scorers with 25, while his younger brother Robby added 20. Jake Janson was selected to the Patriot Winter Classic All-Tournament Team averaging 26 points and 6.6 rebounds per game for the tournament.
