Ridge Elementary School third graders Mikhaila Meinkow, Katherine Weller, and Julian Paz erupted with excitement watching lava pour from their homemade volcanoes. Students in Laura Hilger's class built the volcanoes as part of their study of volcanoes, then made them erupt outside on March 14. The "lava" is the classic mixture of baking soda and vinegar.
