District 202 Board Names New Assistant Principals

Charles Reed, Plainfield Academy get new administrators.

Charles Reed Elementary School and in will have new assistant principals next school year.

The District 202 Board of Education approved naming  fourth-grade teacher Tammy Sroczynski to the assistant principal’s post at Charles Reed Elementary School.

The board also approved hiring Timothy Albores, a Chicago school social worker as the assistant principal at Plainfield Academy. The Academy is the district’s alternative school for middle and high school students.

Sroczynski was assistant principal at Lincoln Elementary in 2010-11, but returned to the classroom last year.

She came to District 202 in 2003 as an information literacy specialist at and Lincoln, helping to open Lincoln its first year.

She also taught third grade at Lincoln for two years before working as Lincoln’s differentiation specialist from 2006-2010.

Albores, also previously worked for District 202. He returns to Plainfield from the Wrightwood Charter School in Chicago, where he has worked as a student services case manager since 2010.

He served as a school social worker from 2006-2010 at Komarek School in District 94 in North Riverside, Illinois, and as a social worker from 2003-2006 at the Joliet Alternate High School in Joliet.

Albores started his professional career as a school worker at Heritage Grove Middle School in District 202, from 2002-2003.
