District 202 Seeks Awards of Excellence Nominees

Nominations are due by March 21.

The District 202 Board of Education is seeking nominees for its 22ndAnnual Awards of Excellence. 

The award honors teachers and non-administrative staff whose work on behalf of students, and support of District 202 has been in some way exceptional.

Students, staff, parents and community members are welcome and encouraged to submit their nominations.

Nominations can now be made online in both English and Spanish. Go to the District 202 web site (www.psd202.org) and click on the “Award of Excellence Nomination Forms” under “Announcements.”

Paper nomination forms can still be downloaded as well from the same page on the district web site.

Paper nominations should be mailed to: the Board of Education Staff Recognition Committee, care of Tom Hernandez, Plainfield School District 202, 15732 Howard Street, Plainfield, IL 60544. They can also be emailed to tahernan@psd202.org or faxed to (815) 577-1067. 

All nominations (both online and paper) must be received by 5 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2014.

The Awards for Excellence ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014 in the auditorium at Plainfield High School – Central Campus, 24120 W. Fort Beggs Drive, Plainfield. 

All nominations will be reviewed by a Board of Education committee. Since 1993 the Board of Education has honored 318 teachers and staff with Awards of Excellence.
