Enrich Your Marriage Through 10 Great Dates

 

What are you doing on Friday nights? Beginning on Valentine's weekend, February 11, 2010 St Mary Immaculate Parish is sponsoring 10 Great Dates to Energize Your Marriage. This insightful book and video course by David and Claudia Arp helps spark romance and connection with memory-making evenings built on key, marriage-enriching themes such as: communication, conflict, encouragement, creative love life, and balancing roles of parent and partner.

After a short video that sets the stage for discussion, couples are sent out for their own private date. You choose the location for your date. It can be a nice long walk, dinner at one of your favorite restaurants or a couple of hours at a special place you and your spouse enjoy. The program will be held one Friday night per month from 5:30 to 6:15 pm beginning February 11 and running through November. Whether newlywed or newly retired, quiver full or empty nest, parents of toddler or parents of teen, all marriages benefit from the investment in great dates.  

Each couple will need to:

1. Buy the book, 10 Great Dates to Energize Your Marriage (cost is $13.00) and read one chapter a month;

2. Attend a 30 to 45 minute group meeting at St. Mary Immaculate's Upper Room, and 3. Go on a private date together once a month for 10 months.

To register for 10 Great Dates put your name, phone number, e-mail address and $13.00 in an envelope marked Attention: Karen Welsch. Make checks out to St. Mary Immaculate Parish. Drop this off at the Commons Desk before January 23rd. You will need your book prior to our first meeting and private date. After you have registered, we will contact you about book pick up. You can join the group later than January 23rd, but you may not be able to get your book before our first "great date."

The first meeting will be at St. Mary Immaculate on Friday, February 11 at 5:30 pm followed by your very own private date. Don't miss the chance to revitalize your marriage!
