Modern Day Slavery

Please join us as Sr. Stella Storch addresses Human Trafficking - Modern Day Slavery, during our monthly CCW meeting and fellowship on Thursday, Sept. 6. The meeting starts at 1:00pm in the Faith Sharing/Harvester rooms of St. Mary Immaculate Parish at 15629 South Rt. 59 in Plainfield.

Sister Storch is a Dominican Sister of Sinsinawa who works for the Sisters of St. Agnes in Fond du Lac, WI as their coordinator of justice, peace and ecology. Her role includes ongoing efforts related to promoting systemic change, enhancing the role of women in Church and society, and promoting justice for the economically poor.

After serving as a teacher and principal for 27 years and on the leadership team of her congregation for 6 years, Sister Stella went to work for the Sisters of St. Agnes. She has studied and tries to fight human trafficking, educating people about the horrors of human trafficking, especially the abuse of women and children in sexual exploitation.
