Parish Nurse Preparation course to be held Oct. 18-Nov. 15 at Lewis’ Oak Brook campus

As part of its continuing education offerings, Lewis University College of Nursing and Health Professions is hosting a Parish Nurse Preparation course from 9 a.m.– 5 p.m. on Mondays from Oct. 18 – Nov. 15 at Lewis University's Oak Brook campus. The course costs $550 and is offered for three graduate credit hours or 40 INA contact hours.

This course focuses on the spiritual dimension of nursing. It provides the knowledge necessary to prepare individuals for the parish nurse and health ministry role using the standardized curriculum of the International Parish Nurse Center.

Coordinators of the preparation course are Dr. Janice Smith, RN, professor of Nursing and coordinator of Parish Nursing at Lewis University, and Dr. Kathleen Blanchfield, associate professor of Nursing at Lewis University.
