Plainfield Township Holds Competition for Middle School Students to Create New Anthem

Plainfield Township is holding a contest for students to create Plainfield Township's official anthem.

Here are the rules and related info:
Submissions will be accepted until January 31, 2011.

Only middle school kids may submit entries; One entry per student; entry should include student's name, address, phone number or e-mail, grade, and school in submission for our records; Entry must be original lyrics and melody; Must reflect Plainfield Township's cherished past and also incorporate its modernized present; Must be 1 to 1 1/2 minutes in length; Matthew and two other Township board members will judge the entries; The top ten contestants will be invited to attend the Township's February 9, 2011 board meeting where the winners will be announced.
1st prize is $100, 2nd prize is $50, and a random honorable mention will receive $25.

And most important of all, the 1st prize winner's anthem will be adopted as Plainfield Township's official anthem!
