Second Annual Creekside Cares Chili Benefit

The Second Annual Creekside Cares Chili Benefit will help fight hunger locally.

The dinner will include salad, cornbread, all-you-can-eat chili with fixings and a drink. Additional drinks will be available for purchase.

Community members are invited to fill up on a chili dinner to help fight hunger locally.

All event proceeds will benefit Creekside Cares, a non-profit weekly backpack program helping needy District 202 families.

Creekside Elementary School Physical Education teacher Jeff Peterson started the program, which now serves students at eight District 202 schools.

The event will also include raffles tickets, which will be sold at the door. Prizes will be donated by local businesses and vendors.

Various vendors will showcase items. Turkeys and pies will be raffled off.
