September 10 Green Village Program Offers Screening of Movie A Sea Change

“Imagine a world without fish.”  That is the premise of the movie, A Sea Change, which will be offered as a free movie screening at the upcoming Green Village Lecture Series program, at 7 pm, Monday, September 10, at the Plainfield Public Library. The free movie screening is sponsored by Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd (CBBEL).

A Sea Change is an award-winning documentary that combines the touching story of a grandfather and grandson with an informative, scientific investigation of global warming’s impact on our oceans. While the topic of global warming is widely discussed, few have explored the impact it is having on our oceans: carbon dioxide is dissolving into ocean waters, raising the acidity of the water and threatening to destroy the ocean habitat of the small creatures that are the bedrock of the seas’ food chain. For additional information and to preview the movie, visit www.aseachange.net
