Four Local Students Win NCC Presidential Scholarships

The award is based on several factors, including academic achievement and ACT/SAT test scores.

Four Plainfield residents have been awarded Presidential Scholarships to attend North Central College in Naperville.

They are:

  • Ambrielle Barker, a graduate of Joliet Township High School West;
  • Lauren Kanady, a graduate of Plainfield East High School, majoring in radiation therapy;
  • Michael Maton, a graduate of Plainfield North High School, majoring physics;
  • Ann Nenoff, a graduate of Plainfield High School Central, majoring in political science.

The Presidential Scholarship is the top merit-based scholarship at North Central College and is offered to less than 15 percent of the incoming class. The scholarship is based on a combination of a student's high school grade-point average from core academic classes and ACT/SAT test scores and is renewable for up to four years.
