If You Have an Opinion on the New School Boundaries, Speak Up Monday

The public will have a chance to speak during the school board's regular meeting; a vote won't be held until April.

The public will have a chance to weigh in on the proposed school boundary changes during the board meeting Monday.

Known as the 2011 Attendance Zone Administrative Recommendation, the plan is designed to even out attendance at the middle-school level. Everything has been mapped out by subdivision, meaning that some students will be attending new elementary and high schools as well.

The board be meet in the auditorium at , 24120 W. Fort Beggs Drive, with the public part of the meeting starting at 7:30 p.m. Public comment will be taken as part of the normal agenda, according to a news release issued Thursday by district spokesman Tom Hernandez.

The board is expected to vote on the recommendation in April.
