Plainfield Central to Host Two Fall Band Concerts

The Plainfield High School – Central Campus music department will present two concerts featuring its bands in October at the school, 24120 W. Fort Beggs Dr., Plainfield.

First, the Fall Band Concert will take place at 7 p.m. Oct. 22, in the auditorium under the direction of Dan Valkema and Patrick Hoadley. The program will highlight performances by the Wind Ensemble, and Symphonic and Concert bands. 

Then, the Wildcat Marching Band will present its annual Sounds of the Stadium concert at 7 p.m. Oct. 29, in the main gymnasium.

The Wildcat Marching Band will perform selections from its 2013 production "Beyond the Blue Horizon" as well as popular parade and football game music.

The Sounds of the Stadium program will also feature the Indian Trail Middle School Band directed by J.J. Fleming, and the Timber Ridge Middle School Band, under the direction of Ginny Baker.
