The Foundation Dinner and Auction brings together community and business leaders, district staff, parents and others to:

  • Promote excellence and achievement for learners
  • Encourage innovation in the teaching/learning process
  • Enhance collaboration between the Foundation and greater community

The Foundation for Excellence since 1983 has raised and contributed nearly $400,000 to support District 202 students and staff in the form of grants, scholarships and special funding.

The Foundation has also supported special programs including a District Art Gallery, the Great Read community reading program and the 1847 Schoolhouse Restoration.

“This is a very special occasion for us as we mark our 30th year helping District 202 students, staff and community to excel and grow,” said Foundation Chair Margie Bonuchi.

“It has been our privilege and pleasure for three decades to do the work we’ve done, but we could not, and cannot do that work without the support of our neighbors, friends, business people and families,” Bonuchi said.
