Plainfield Library Hosts 'The Truth About Financial Aid'

A seminar for parents and college-bound students.

Parents and students are invited to attend "College Prep: The Truth About Financial Aid" from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, at the Plainfield Public Library, 15025 S. Illinois St.

The library will host representatives from Admissionado, an educational and admissions consulting firm.

From the library website:

"Can you really think about college without shuddering over dollar signs? Admissionado representatives will take you through everything you need to know about financial aid, scholarships, student loans, how it all works, and the best options for you. Our M.O. here is to take it MUCH farther than the typical talk which tends only to scratch the surface. We'll not only tell you what FAFSA and EFC are, but we'll also focus on practical information and actionable advice so you can get the best deal possible."
