School Board Nominating Petitions Available Sept. 25

Four seats are up for election in April 2013.

Nominating petition forms for the April 9, 2013 school board election in Plainfield School District 202 will be available beginning Tuesday, Sept. 25, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the District 202 Administration Center, 15732 Howard St., Plainfield, IL.  

Completed petitions must be filed between Dec. 17-24 at the District Administration Center. The Administrative Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 24.

Four seats on the seven-member Board of Education are up for election on the April 9, 2013 ballot. Candidates elected will serve four-year terms expiring in April 2017.

To be eligible a candidate must be a U.S. citizen who is a registered voter, at least 18 years of age on the date of the election, and a resident of the state and school district for one year prior to the election.

The school board election is nonpartisan, and board candidates do not run under political party affiliation.
